Friday Skethcers challange

If you have never been over at http://fridaysketchersblog.blogspot.com/ you gotta hurry because they have some fantastic sketches over there. I have used several of them, never on time to enter the challanges tho... not even sure I am on time this week.
I made the card for one of my dearest friends' son, He had his confirmation yesterday, and we got to attend the party we had a great time, wonderful company, wonderful food and beautiful weather.

new comfirmation card

not being very crafty these days, hope it will get better soon !!

I have been making a couple of cards. This one suits two challanges too , gotta love it with you can squeeze in more the one challange in one card.
This card fits both the challange at http://stampchallenges.blogspot.com/ where the challange is to use the colors yellow ( his hair) green( the pattern paper) and blue ( the background CS)

The other challange is http://everybody-art-challenge.blogspot.com/ here the challange is to only use ONE scrappaper- I love this challange since I make 99% of my cards from scraps from my scrapbooking layouts. A lot of times I won't have much pp left so this is a fun one for me.

I have seen these card folders popping up around blogworld, and since I had to stay awake at night this weekend cause I was working( got a LOT of down time when working at night*S*) I used a pack of cardstock and finally came up with my own version.

boys confirmation card

I have been busy working on some cards and layouts and a couple of "other" projects, most of the things I can't show here... BUT some of the cards I can show and here is a boys card.. boy was that hard... I am such a girl scrapper/cardmaker pink, purple and reds that I can do, but once we venture into greens and blues... I am stuck LOL

I have several girls doing that wavy sentiment... had to try that myself, thanks girls for the inspiration

BUSY BEE

I told you yesterday that I would be playing in my craft room today and I did, eventhough the weather was exceptional today ! 18 degrees and sunny. Hubby has been working in the garden all day putting up a new fence.


I have been glued to the TV all day, waiting to see if they would announce what the future in Danish politics will be like. Finally around 3 pm the news broke and our current premineminister is now named the next secretary in general of NATO. Cool first time in Danish history.


BUT this also gave me an excuse to sit and play inside !!LOL
here is one of the cards that I have made today.

Supplies for the card: Bazzill swiss dotted CS,bazzill ribbon, BG pp, spellbinders nesties Label 2 Sizzix bookplates dies, Prima flower, Wild orchids rose,ranger stickles, ranger distress ink refills, all purpose ink from fantastix

Had to have the new confirmation stamps from Whiff of joy SO cute !!
Only one problem I had with the stamp was that I love her, but the wings bugged the person I am making the card for... so I stamped the image on a piece of scrappaper, cut out the wings, adhered them with stickytape and stamped... voila she has no wings *S*

I had a hard time getting the WHITE dress to look right, ended up using Frost white from All-purpose ink from Fantastix. If anyone has another tip on what WHITE is great, please let me know.

I am still here

I am still here. I know I am a bad blogger have been quiet way too long ! but a combination of no mojo, no time and just life in general getting in the way has kept me busy all week.
BUT this weekend is my weekend off and eventhough they are predicting fantastic weather I plan on getting some scrapping done !
I got new stamps from sugernellie and WoJ yesterday AND a happy box from Miss Sharon over at www.happyscrappinscrapbooking.com so I got plenty of stuff to keep my busy.
have been working on a little something something tonight but can't show it yet...
I have every intention of having something to show you soon ... tomorrow.. now that it's on writing I am obligated right ? *Ü*
